ACORN PROPERTY GROUP SUBMITS OUTLINE PLANNIN APPLICATION FOR NEW HOMES IN FROME TOWN CENTRE

Acorn Property Group’s Bristol region has submitted an Outline Planning Application for the redevelopment of the 10-acre Saxonvale brownfield site in Frome town centre.

Following months of consultation and feedback from the public, Acorn has worked with Nash Partnership architects to draw up the masterplan for the regeneration of the long-derelict site.

Working alongside landowner Mendip District Council, Acorn has submitted proposals to transform the redundant site into a vibrant new extension to Frome town centre delivering 300 new homes, 45,000 sqft of commercial space, a new riverside parkland area, a footbridge, a landscaped public realm and car parking.

The application will now be considered by Mendip District Council planning authority, with hopes for approval for this autumn.

Robin Squire, Regional Managing Director of Acorn Bristol, says “Following positive public consultations and implementing feedback into our vision, we are pleased to have submitted an application and look forward to delivering this exciting regeneration project to Frome.”

The application is now available to view online here
